IBD Care is an app for people living with inflammatory bowel disease. Your privacy is at the heart of the project: your health data stays yours, is protected and processed in line with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data controller

The data controller is IBD Care. For any request about your data you can write to us from the Contact page in the app.

Data we collect

We collect the data you enter voluntarily in the diary: symptoms, food, therapies, exams and records, free notes, community messages and account data (email). We also collect anonymous technical navigation data (e.g. page visited, device type) to improve the service.

Legal basis

We process health data based on your explicit consent (Article 9 GDPR), which you give at registration. Anonymous navigation data relies on our legitimate interest in improving the app.

Purposes of processing

We use your data to provide the health diary, analysis and correlation features, therapy reminders, records archive, AI assistant, community and PDF reports. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.

Data retention

Your diary data stays saved as long as you keep your account. You can delete individual entries or your whole account at any time: deletion is permanent.

Sharing and third parties

Your health data is not shared with third parties. AI processing and payment services act as data processors and do not use your data for their own purposes. Shop links redirect to external sites outside our control.

Security

Each entry is row-level protected (Row-Level Security): only you can read and edit your health data. Transmissions are encrypted and uploaded files are kept in a private archive.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time from the Account area or by writing to us. You may also contact the data protection authority.

Minors

The app is intended for adults. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to help you register and use it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or the law: the last update date is shown at the bottom of the page.
